Should I book my flight to Belize now?
Please do not make any flight arrangements until you have secured your space with a deposit and received confirmation from us that the tour will proceed.
Do I need a passport or visa to travel to Belize?
Everyone entering the country of Belize is required to produce a current passport that is valid for at least the duration of your visit. Citizens of the U.S., the European Union and the Commonwealth, holding a return ticket do not need to obtain a visa to visit Belize. If you do not possess a passport from one of these countries, please check with the embassy in the country of your citizenship to see if a visa is required.
Is my flight to Belize included in the cost of the tour?
We are fortunate to have tour guests from many different countries travel to Belize for our tours. However, this means that it is impossible to budget a price that would be fair to all that includes round trip airfare. As with most international tours you will need to book your flight to Belize. However, we do travel by plane to different areas of Belize. These flights are included in your tour price.
Are there any immunizations required before traveling to Belize?
Currently there are no special immunizations suggested for your trip to Belize. You will not be spending time in the jungle so anti-malaria tablets are probably not needed. However, please check with your health-care professional to be sure.
What will the weather be like in Belize for my tour?
The weather in Belize is sub-tropical. Warm, sunny days usually travel with us. Even during rainy season we are not usually affected by the rain. Showers are often short in duration and many of the rain showers happen at night while we are sleeping.
Do I need money orders to travel to Belize?
No. It is not necessary to exchange your U.S. dollars either. Belize has it’s own currency but also accepts the U.S. dollar everywhere. However, foreign change is not accepted – only bills. The exchange rate for U.S. dollars is 2 Belize to 1 U.S. ATM machines are available all over the country as well but you will receive Belize dollars.
What type of clothing should I bring with me?
Bring lightweight, comfortable clothing. A very light sweater or thin jacket could be used for the occasional cool evening. Casual clothing is acceptable for all of our events.
Do I need an adapter for my electronics?
No. Belize uses 110 volt electricity just as the U.S. and Canada.
Will I have access to WiFi while on my tour?
WiFi is generally available where we travel. Most of the hotels/resorts we use have WiFi access in the rooms.
